Excellent work, again. I did use food grade Epsom salts for a liver/gall bladder flush with a protocol with Dr Renu Mahtani. Even though I was taking 15mg Lugols iodine, I was deficient after completing an iodine loading test with Hakala Labs, (72% where the goal is 90%). Now I take 3 50mg tablets per week. For me to achieve a D 25hydroxy above 80ng/ml I take 10,000iu D3 daily. Imagine if everyone had optimum levels of iodine/D/magnesium.
Thank you. Very helpful for understanding how magnesium impacts my thyroid function and a possible key to solving hashimotos. I like the idea of sipping it throughout the day because when I take the pill I get too sleepy to be functional at work.
“Not for human consumption. This salt is recommended for external use only.”
I checked my local stores here in NZ and they sell a “Food Grade Epsom Salts” but also say
“Both magnesium and sulfate are poorly absorbed through the stomach (making oral supplements ineffective), but are easily absorbed through the skin. Therefore soaking in an Epsom salt bath is the most effective and one of the easiest ways to maintain adequate levels of these minerals.”
Ingestible Epsom Salt: Safe Uses, Benefits, and What to Know Before Drinking Epsom Salt
For those seeking ingestible epsom salt uses beyond laxative effects, it is important to note that oral magnesium sulfate is not a primary source for magnesium supplementation. Instead, consider other forms recommended by health authorities.
So you would still recommend M through Epsom salt food grade?
I usually get my M through Magnesium Citrate powder one scoop 300mg or a fizzy tablet 200mg but this can be expensive so your Epsom Salt seems much cheaper.
If you dissolve 1/4 tsp of magnesium sulfate in 1 liter of water and consume it slowly throughout the day, the magnesium will be bioavailable and absorbed reasonably well. The gradual intake enhances absorption and minimizes gastrointestinal side effects, making this an effective way to supplement magnesium.
CO: Recently you published your recipe for *homemade mineral water*. Would you be able to easily refer me to the article with that information? Thanks in advance.
I have a one liter bottle I use with 2-3 drops of sodium chlorite added.to my RO water. Is there any issue with adding the 1/4 teaspoon of Epson salts?
Thank you for an old school style article for us lay-folk.
Appreciate your efforts.

Thank you for all of your work. Would it be possible to list the links to your previous magnesium modules at the bottom of your magnesium posts?

You can find that in the following post, but I will be publishing more detailed information on that in upcoming articles. https://open.substack.com/pub/curioushumanproductions/p/eliminate-oral-infections-and-restore-e5d

I don't think it would be wise to add it along with the sodium chlorite.
