Thank you Curious Outlier. Have used Protocol 1 a few times. Have used activated for 4-5 years and can safely use 4-5 drops activated w/o issue. But this deeper dive into P1 urges my use of P1 regularly with 2-3 drops - x 2 daily. 👍. Can I use a stainless water cup or shd it always be limited to plastic or glass containers?

Again thank you. You’re awesome.

I also use activated in sink of water to soak store bought veggies . 🙂

Cannot use any type of metal. Glass is best and an HDPE food grade plastic is OK for the diluted solution.

The activated solution is great for clearing, store-bought vegetables of all pesticides, herbicides, and pathogens.

I put chlorine dioxide in the top of a Berkey stainless gravity filter system thinking I would sterilize the filters because the filters had a weird smell. The chlorine dioxide popped a tiny needle sized hole in the tank of the Berkey within 10 seconds. My guess is that maybe the chlorine dioxide found an impurity in the stainless and oxidized it and popped a hole in it.

That is most likely what happened.

Mike, have you found any off brand Berkey filters. Course maybe you wont even buy another Berkey. I stopped using mine since after 3 years I felt the filters needed replacement but a health food store worker told me the reason Berkey has no filters is due to a lawsuit where they allegedly claimed they filter pesticides or some such bs.

Ill have to research it again as this year has been suer busy and now almost half way through.

It’s not Berkey’s fault. The EPA, trying to shut them down, classified their filters as “pesticides” and it has been tied up in litigation. That’s why you can’t find the filters anymore. It’s easy to look up on internet. Makes me highly suspicious that they are doing or will do something to the public water system …. More than they already have…sigh

Thank you, Ingrid. In the mass of items were all researching. I really appreciate your highlighting that the EPA is targeting a company doing good things.

If you read or hear anything else on Berkey Feel welcome to share it to me if time permits 👍🌺

Are you personally using those filters for your berkey?

It can work but as you get more experience in making the CDS sterile version it is not as repulsive to smell. I usually use 3 to 4 drops activated in 4 oz water. I decided to see what my upper tolerance is for a Herxheimer reaction. When I got to 7 activated drops in 4 oz of water I got my Herxheimer detox reaction. Headache, sweating, gut discomfort. Just like the flu. Lasted less than 30 minutes.

I used to do high amounts of CDS too until I started thinking about the probiotics in my gut. After looking around at the subject I think it could probably kill off your probiotics in the gut and that can be a catastrophe in itself. I have been drinking large amounts of Kefir lately trying to level out my probiotic load.

Curious Outlier's avatar

This has not been the experience for anyone using it orally.

Expand full comment
Stuart Hutt's avatar

Possibly, but I guess what are high amounts. Based on Dr Kalckers understanding the CLO2 never gets to intestines via oral use since it gasses off quickly in the stomach.

I honestly don't know if it can kill probiotics in the gut or not. Its just something I have been thinking about. I asked perplexity AI and it said yes that it could.

But how much can we trust AI anyway since it will spit out so much bullshit??

Paul G Taylor's avatar

We can't trust AI at all as it all depends on how it has been trained. Also, I discovered a serious defect in that AI cannot verify its answers. I discovered this after asking several followup questions, getting ever more wrong answers, and when I asked in frustration for it to verify its answers, I got told, "I cannot verify my answers." So that proved to me that I have to verify anything that I get via AI.

Hey

I bought this

How do I activate it?

I saw a strange video where they put it in a sealed jar

And poured distilled water around a shot glass and let the water absorbed the reaction for 24 hours

I can do this if this is the way

I bought all the items

If so, what is the mix?

I do think you become accustomed to MMS1 after using it a while. I had been taking it for about a year, a couple of 3-drop doses/day as prevention against respiratory infections (along with low doses of ivermectin and some supplements). I recently showed a likely cancerous nodule in one lung (10mm, no metastasis), and started the Humble protocols in earnest. 1000, and 1000+ have actually improved my digestion, which was a pleasant surprise. It will be interesting to see how I respond to the increasing drops of activated CLO2 to the recommended 11 drops for my body weight. I'll be starting that phase in about a week. It's good to know what to do in case of a negative reaction. Paying attention and trusting your body is good advice!

To some degree, the taste of MMS1 or CDS is experienced in the nasal passages. I find that if I do not inhale through my nose directly over my drinking vessel or exhale through my nose while drinking the solution & immediately following, this "taste" experience is significantly reduced to a more tolerable level. If you're not getting therapeutic results with P1, this may work for you. (Generic "you").

It took me halfway into the 2000 protocol to reach the point where the tase of activated CLO2 is getting unpleasant. The max. recommended for me is 11 drops in 4 oz. water. I just reached 7 drops, and I can tell it will be a while until I'm used to it. The olfactory aspect didn't occur to me. I'll try your suggestion. Thanks!

How are things going with unactivated now?

Expand full comment
Flatulus Maximus's avatar

Actually, the aspect of Ms. Baxter's suggestion that I tried was making sure I did not smell it while downing it. It's somewhat helpful, but it still leaves an aftertaste. I plan to continue the protocol with activated, and just give my body time to adjust. (I took 2 days to go from 5 to 6, and 6-7 drops.) I'm still a bit unsettled on my second day of 7 drops, but I'll continue to go slow. I'm 70, and have taken some seriously awful tasting medications in my day. This is a piece of cake by comparison!

My sister (81 yrs young) is doing daily bottles. Started about 2 weeks ago w/starting P & has had to back off to 1 act. drop per dose twice due to extreme tiredness & headache. (I think she has more going on than a "suspicious" spot on her breast [MRI] & AMD). But like you, she says the taste is a comparative cakewalk! Also at 70, I'm in agreement with you both.

While doing the Humble protocols, with activated CLO2, I do occasionally have to slow down and let my body adjust to increasing doses. What I find interesting is that my gut feels better than at any time in recent memory, which is wild because I've had moderate to severe digestive issues most of my life. I was diagnosed with IBS-D abut 25 years ago. It has mostly receded into the background. Then this year I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. My regular MD, aside from prescribing Synthroid, kind of just threw up his hands like it was one of life's great mysteries. It didn't take me long, researching on-line, to find that gut dysbiosis and/or "leaky gut" can be a major factor in autoimmune conditions. Back to CLO2: my digestion seems significantly improved, which is crazy given the various medical conditions I'm struggling with. I'd expect to be stressed beyond my limits, but I'm not consciously stressed at all. Given everything I'm taking (ivermectin, mebendazole, doxycycline, DMSO, and CLO2), I can't imagine ANYTHING untoward living "down there!" The most difficult thing for me is waiting for all this to have an effect that makes my regular MD's jaws drop at the positive results in my scans and blood work.

I learned about this method but I can't use it because my gut is a mess and I know I have low stomach acid. Going with the CDS liquid where it is made using a shot glass inside a jar so it is pure ClO2 in water.

I use a glass Voss water bottle to drink my daily water. I've used activated MMS for several years, and somehow never heard of Protocol 1! I'm interested in givng it a try, especially since it won't have the repulsive smell. Typically, I've used activated drops when I have sinus issues, or flu symptoms, and the smell is the hardest part, since I'm already under the weather. Perhaps this will get me drinking Protocol 1 daily, and I won't be prone to getting sick in the first place! Many thanks for this informative article!

Thanks for this information! Will be easier for children, as well as adults who don't like the taste. I can take 5-7 drops in an 8 oz glass of water (CDS) and don't mind the taste. More, probably too strong. Question: Can we take these protocols at any time of day, before or after meals? Is there even a time frame to be cautious of in regard to foods/herbs we've eaten? I usually drink mine 2 hours after a meal. Would you say sodium chlorite and water only could be taken with a meal or better after or sometime in between?

Expand full comment
Curious Outlier's avatar

30 minutes before meals or two hours after is ideal especially if the meal has a high amount of antioxidants or protein. Simple carbohydrates like starchy grains are OK because they do not react with the CLO2.
